Naturopathic Medicine

Whole Patient Wellness

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a health care profession that involves supporting the body’s ability to heal by blending the wisdom of nature with the rigor of modern science.

Naturopathic doctors are primary care providers that concentrate on  ‘whole patient wellness’ addressing the underlying causes of a patient’s condition. A naturopathic doctor diagnoses, treats and manages patients with acute and chronic conditions as well as those that are interested in maintaining overall good health.

Naturopathic treatments draw on therapies such as nutritional interventions, supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, lifestyle counselling, manual therapy, laboratory testing and assessment to name a few. Naturopathic medicine focuses on long term health and sustainability.
