Athletic Therapy
Athletic Therapy focuses on the prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries, helping individuals stay active and perform at their best. Certified Athletic Therapists provide personalized, hands-on care for sports injuries, everyday aches, and physical setbacks.
Operating within the sport medicine model of care, Athletic Therapy can assist with:
-
Injury prevention: Reducing future risks.
-
Treatment and maintenance: Managing existing conditions.
-
Pre- and post-surgical rehab: Supporting recovery before and after surgery.
Treatments include:
-
Manual therapy: Joint mobilizations, fascial work, stretching, pin and stretch, active release, and more, often starting Day 1 post-injury.
-
Proprioceptive techniques: Balance, coordination, and mind-to-muscle exercises.
-
Take-home plans: stretches, strengthening exercises, daily tips and self-release techniques.
Using manual therapy, exercise prescription, and techniques like taping and bracing, we help restore function and mobility. Whether recovering from an injury or preventing one, our Certified Athletic Therapist is dedicated to keeping you active and at your best.
Athletic Therapy is covered under most extended health insurance plans. Please check with your individual plan for specific coverage details.
